There are 2 kinds of actions:

. emergency actions aiming at the survival

. actions aiming at economic development

The emergency actions must be handed on professionals. Usually these professionals are medical staff, or persons specialised in disasters with specific equipments. Few organizations are able to act during this phase.

After the emergency phase there is a phase so called: Recovery Phase. It can be also a critical economic situation. At this stage, we also need an appropriate action: a professional action. A lot of organizations are proposing actions, showing their willingness to change things.
Nevertheless, the most effective actions are impulsed from the persons concerned.
Based on the theory of the process of change, the microcredit is one the the most relevant action in order to generate change.

. Microcredit origin

The Grameen Bank, which is generally considered the first modern microcredit institution, was founded in 1983 by Muhammad Yunus. Yunus began the project in a small town called Jobra, using his own money to deliver small loans at low-interest rates to the rural poor.  Yunus loaned a group of women $27 to finance their own small business. Amazingly the women repaid the loan and were able to sustain the business.

. Sustainability

To modify a situation in a sustainable way, no need to spend an important energy, no need a very clever solution brought from outside. The smallest, the more efficient. This is a founding principle in the process of change.
